Gardening Sustainably – Open Pedagogy and Renewable Assignments

Help make your students into creators of knowledge! People are often intimidated by the idea of transforming a class into one that embraces Open Pedagogy. But transforming a single assignment to one that is “renewable” rather than “disposable” can be a relatively easy first step in that process. In this session, attendees will not only learn what Open Pedagogy is, but will get to experience what it’s like to transform an assignment from something that is thrown away to something that produces educational materials for others.
