Academic library instruction often comes in the form of the one-shot: a single session tailored to the needs of a particular class and research assignment. Those of us delivering those one-shots often dream of the possibilities in longer-term, multi-visit instructional partnerships. Interdisciplinary, collaborative efforts can be a challenge, but the rewards they reap are well worth the investment of time and energy.
