What's the Buzz? Finding the Conversation in Social Media

Many assignments, paper or project, essay or unessay, ask students to learn more about the conversation on a topic. I've been working with students in a number of classes, from Women's and Gender Studies to Music to Anthropology, to help them find conversations on their topic in scholarly works and on the internet. This presentation will focus on finding conversations on social media, especially Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, using tags, URLs, and chaining through posts and follows. (I put this down as a skill-building workshop--I'm imagining it as an interactive presentation.)
